Now-a-days, most of the people in the world are aware of global warming. There's a lot of initiatives done by many welfare organisation in many ways such as recycling, avoiding plastics, constructing Eco-friendly products and more importantly promoting awareness to the people. Its good to  hear that people start following and they are adopting all these changes. But i guess, they can do a little better. I have listed few points below, where people can make use of it

• Dont use Lifts
• I have seen many people going to gym in offices. But when they are in office, they use to take Lift even for 1 or 2 floor, rather than this they can actually take stairs, it would be an exercise to them as well as a chance to save power to this environment or your future
• Avoid Plastics
• People started taking juices or tender coconut water naturally, rather than going for packed one. Its appreciable  that they are taking juices in recycled paper glasses. But they are not realizing that straw is a plastic. If your teeth are strong , you can Avoid Straw.
• Walk
• Even for shopping to the nearest market, many were using their vehicle. They can actually walk to that point. If you do this, your children will start following this. Now you can be a roll model to your future generation
• Throw garbage in Dustbins
• If you are having some chocolates or ice creams or whatever, Dont throw the garbage tissue, paper or skin of a fruit or wrapper of candy is in Streets,throw it  in a dustbin, if the dustbin is not there, have it with you itself, throw it in dustbin later , when you find it.

How to write in Tamil?

I am a Software Engineer working in an MNC in Bangalore, but my native is Tamil-Nadu. My team lead birthday was on last Wednesday. On his greeting card, everyone in our team was wishing him by writing some greeting words in their mother tongue in the card. Since, Tamil was my mother tongue, i started writing in Tamil. I forgot "How to start with ". I felt ashamed of myself. My head was completely blank that time.
I realized i am putting my signature in Tamil after 6 years.
When we were in school, we used to write some essays in tamil, that time only we used to sign in tamil. After that,we dont have chance to use it in the place of signature. Whatever form you fill up, it might be your college certificates or agreement or bank documents, you will be signing in English. We wont use our mother tongue language to sign.
Even this blog post, i m typing it in English. So kindly use few opportunities to write in your mother tongue, because you can also be unique from others by using your mother tongue and also you wont forget your mother tongue. I am not asking/advising  you to do this in all the places, but you can do this like wishing some person or giving greeting card...,

Learning Perl

I was interested in learning Scripting languages. When i discussed this with my friends they suggested me to learn Python, because its more powerful in scripting languages. I don't know even basic knowledge on scripting languages, so i started gathering documents for learning Perl.. I searched many websites to find the online Docs, then i have found one.. http://www.perl.org/  . Here there is a link which says Learning Perl , which gives the brief introduction about Perl and the basics of scripting languages.
But now i am searching for an IDE[Editor] for the Perl.
Please suggest me some editors for scripting languages, which would be helpful for me to work with

Usually i sleep little late at night around 12.00. But last night i was very tired and slept at 9.30 P.M. Suddenly i woke up in the middle of sleep , because  i saw some light through my room window. Playing in the Street

      Few years back, our street would be silent till 5.00 PM, but after that it would be jam packed with children. Every child had played there. There are so many gangs and we have played Cricket, Badminton, Coco, Volley Ball and few other local games. Cricket was the most interesting game which we enjoyed so much. We have created so many records. So far we have broken 20 glasses, 3 Street lights and we hit so may people[who were walking in the street] head's while playing cricket. In Sundays, we spent their whole day there. Our gang of friends were the last batch to play cricket in the street. Daily we will be losing three balls, by hitting shots. After that we all got separated and some went for studies and other went for jobs.

     Now-a-days, our street is empty and no body is ready to play in the street, because of these video games and online games. We are interested to play in the streets again, but we cant, because we rarely meet some of our old friends[my gang mets] that too during a festival or sometimes occasionally.

Its almost one year back, my confirmation had been postponed, because my managers were not happy with my performance. After that i have been moved to a different team under a different lead. I am from electronics background, so i felt some difficulty in coding. My colleague advised me to read Head First JAVA, so you  can grab the knowledge of JAVA quickly and easily. I followed that regularly. Since i am working in JAVA, i got a chance to learn very quickly. Even now-a-days, i spent some half an hour to study JAVA after my working hours. The thing i gained from this is i have been nominated for the Spot Award for the best performance in my project with the blessings of my lordess "BHAGAVATHY"
So, never fed up and Never give up the Spirit..

Short Circuit Operators

&& and || are called short circuit operators. These operators are used for "AND" and "OR" operation respectively.
Ex.
if(a && b), Suppose if  a is false, it wont even check the value of b, it skip the condition itself. Take an another example:
if(refVal!=null && refVal.isValid() ) ,
 in this consider refVal is the reference variable and it has not been assigned to any object, so the value of refVal=null, so if its checking refVal.isValid(), it will throw the NullPointerException. Since, the first condition is false, it skips the second condition.
