                           1=5
                           2 = 25
                          3 = 325
                          4 = 4325
                          5 = ?

24 from 8,8,3,3

Today morning i was breaking my mind after seeing this puzzle in a website Maths is fun ... i have tried many steps to figure out the puzzle. But the answer was too straight forward.
Solution:
    24 =  [8/( 1/3)] = [8/(  3 - {8/3} )]

This was the solution provided by the website. But i striked by mind and came out with a different answer . I am not sure this is the smart approach or i am trying to be smart.
My Solution:

  24 = 8*3 + 3%8 = 24 + 0 = 24

Can you make out 37 using five 5's

The Solution is very simple..
2^5 =32. To get 2, we can use ((5+5)/5)
So the answer is

     (5+5)
[   -------    ] ^ 5  + 5 ==>  2^5 + 5 = 32+ 5 =37
        5

Its quite complex, but by solving this, it will strength your aptitude skills.

How many squares are there in a Chess board ?

When you are asking this question to any people, they immediately reply you as 64. But people forget that even the chess board is a square. In addition to that, four squares can form a square.. Like this it comes in a combination way. So, the calculation goes like this

  • Number of Squares in Chess board = ( (n * (n+1) * (2n+1) ) / 6 )
  • For Chess board, n=8
  • Number of Squares = (8 * 9 * 17 ) / 6 = (72 * 17) / 6 = 12 * 17 =204
So, Number of Squares in Chess board = 204 Squares.

1,2,6,42,1806,.... = ?

1,2,6,42,1806,.... = ?
Theres a Logic behind that, but its very simple.
Consider the number as a, then the next number would be a *( a + 1). In the same manner
1* (1 + 1) = 2;  2*(2 + 1)= 6; 6 * (6 + 1)= 42; 42 * (42 + 1)= 1806;
.
.
1806 * (1806 + 1 )= 3263442. Simple isn't it.

5+3+2 = 151022

5+3+2 = 151022
9+2+4 = 183652
8+6+3 = 482466
5+4+5 = 202541
Then,
7+2+5 =   ?
.
.
Here goes the Logic
a + b + c =  (a*b) (a*c) (a*b+ a*c -b)
So, for example 5 + 3 + 2 = (5 *3)  (5*2) (5*3 + 5*2  - 3 )= 15 10 22
So you guys got the logic..
Then find it for 7+2+5=?
.
.
.
I knew you guys are brilliant... The answer is... 143547. Cool

111 * 111 = 12321. How?

11 * 11 = 121
1111 * 1111 = 1234321.

Can you the understand the logic of this multiplication.Its simple. For example, take
1111 * 1111 as A* B ;
  •  Now the element in A is same as element in B
  • The number of elements in A are same as elements in B
  • All the elements in A and B are 1
  • For multiplying this, first consider how many elements are there in A. So in our case its four.
  • So the answer, first go in ascending order 1 2 3 4 then come in descending order 3 2 1.
  • Combine both the values 1 2 3 4 3 2 1.
  • Thats the answer
Ex: 111 111 111 * 111 111 111 =  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 [Number of elements are nine]

Hope you got the logic.. Any doubt, Buzz me

What's Wrong in this Proof

Just see this Mathematical proof of 2 = 3….
It is given by the greatest mathematician of India Sreenivas Ramanujam in one of his books..
  • -6 = -6
  • -10 + 4 = -15 + 9
  • Add 25/4 on both the sides…
  • -10 + 4 +25/4 = -15 + 9 + 25/4
  • square(2 - 5/2)= square(3-5/2)
  • 2 - 5/2 = 3 - 5/2 (Cancel 5/2 on both sides),then
  • 2 = 3

If possible find what is wrong in this proof…..

  • Letters 'a', 'b' & 'c' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999 (Letter 'a' comes for the first time in Thousand)
  • Letters 'b' & 'c' do not appear anywhere in the spellings of 1 to 999,999,999 (Letter 'b' comes for the first time in Billion) And
  • Letter 'c' does not appear anywhere in in the spellings of entire English Counting

(100-100)/ (100-100) =2

Can anyone try this…?
If no just follow me
  • (10^2 – 10^2) / 10 ( 10 – 10 ) since a^2 – b^2 = (a + b) (a - b)
  • ( (10 + 10) ( 10-10) ) / 10 (10 - 10)
  • (10 + 10 ) / 10 since the equal terms in numerator and denominator gotcancelled….
  • 20 / 10 = 2

Try this and have fun…!!!
