Amriti Forests in Vellore

Amriti Forests, one of the Famous Tourist Spot which's  located in the Vellore town. These forests are continuation of Javadi Hills  and it has  a park which was opened in the year of 1967 and its total area is 25 hectares.
There is forest ranger in Amriti to maintain the property. This park is located at a distance of 25 kms from Vellore Bus terminus and around 30 kms from Vellore Railway Station[Katpadi Railway Station]. From Chennai, it will be around 150 kms. The State Government is taking steps to develop this area, so it can attract many tourists to this place.

The Bus Frequency to this place is very less from Vellore, only you can board a bus in the range of 2 hrs and the road is bad. The entry fees of the park is very cheap Rs.2/- for adult, Rs.3/- for Cycles and Rs.5/- for Bikes. This park earns revenue of Rs.72,000 per year The forest has  a beautiful Waterfalls , which's now become a restricted one due to dump-sands in that area. If developer and kept under surveillance, this could be the perfect tourist spot in northern Tamilnadu. Govt should initiate to develop this spot in Vellore.
