Bike Ride to Mysore

Its a sunny day, as per plan we need to start that day evening to Mysore by bike. As we were working in corporates, who were busy all the time, we couldn't able to start our journey on time. We left Bangalore @ 7.30 p.m and got stuck up in the Friday evening   traffic, but somehow managed to reach the city outskirts by an hour, then our racing starts.
Three bikes occupied with Five People , out of five there were four drivers, racing @ a speed of 80- 100 kmph in the shadows of dark night   on the Highway. After reaching the mid of our destination we had 2 breaks for a refreshment and then dinner.
Then no traffic, no noise, lot of speed breakers, riding @ a normal speed in  the dark road, sometime racing @ maximum speed enriched our bike ride. Such a nice trip i ever had.

Trip always makes our life memorable.

Save Paper in SBI

You could have surprised with this post title that "How to save paper in SBI?" . State bank of India [SBI] came  with a wonderful way to reduce paper usage @ the cash counters.
Normally, if you want to deposit money in your account, you have to fill a leaf with you account number and other details like your deposit etc.., and pay it in the counter. Instead as per the new way , you can do it very simply without saving that leaf of paper.

  • Collect you token. Go to cash counter and give the money and your debit card to the officer
  • They will swipe your card in a machine and they will ask you to enter your 4 digit pin number ****
  • Then they will collect you cash and click submit.
  • Thats it. The amount will be deposited in your account.
This is one of the nice way to deposit money in less time and you were saving a paper. Good rite... I like this system . Such things should be there in all banks.

Reduce Traffic Sensibly

Traffic is the deadliest and boring  word for all the people who need to travel in the city. Though the city management come up with flyovers and underlay bridges to overcome the traffic at busy junction/cross roads was not adequate because of the drastic increase in population in urban areas. If you ask me a solution , what i would suggest is manage the traffic sensibly.
Say there is a a busy road in the city, which has denser volume of 10,000 vehicles per day. So first we need to identify whats the root cause for the traffic . If there are more than 2 malls /shopping mark/company,schools within a distance of 500 meters, such things should be shifted to a new location in order to cut down the traffic at those areas. Commercial buildings are required for market growth in that area, what i am suggesting is, if the city is growing it should be a uniform growth. So accordingly the traffic volume will go down slowly.

  •  Bus Day should be made compulsory at least once in a quarter [once in every three months]. That day there should not be any cars and bikes running [except emergency condition]  and more buses should operate on that day to avoid rushes.
  • No Single Driving should be allowed in traffic hours [expect in case of emergency]
  • Whoever have a vehicle should grow a plant/tree in their locality where they stay
    • Say if they have 2 cars and a bike, they should maintain and grow three trees/plants
  • No Heavy Vehicles should be running in the city premises at least from 6.00 a.m to 10.00 pm everyday
    • Eventhough the city transport department has this rule, still we can see some lorries /tankers are running in the city in the day time.
    • Traffic Police should be strict on them  by cancelling their permit temporarily
  • Separate lanes should be there for cyclist
    • This will promote many bicyclers in urban areas and reduce traffic

Citizens, please follow  steps taken by the government / local body who is in power to control traffic and other good initiatives which will benefit us and the society
